Staff Accountant - Remote
This firm specialized in accounting and tax services for small businesses.  Candidates will receive ongoing training to provide professional growth and development while, at the same time, be allowed to achieve a solid work/life balance.  This position is part-time and may require additional work hours during the period January 1 - April 15th.  

The ideal candidate would be:

1. A person who is a self-starter, has good technical skills and relates well with others. 
2. Working knowledge with Microsoft office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
3. Enjoys working in a professional environment can wants to become part of a growing firm.
4. Meets the criteria to be registered with the IRS and prepare income tax returns.
5. Have experience working with the following software programs
   1. CCH Axcess or ProSystems fx
   2. Adobe Acrobat
   3. Quickbooks online

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Quickbooks experience required
• A.A. w/ emphasis in accounting preferred
• 2+ years bookkeeping experience
• Client service experience, working with multiple clients is preferred
• Prior experience working in a public accounting firm 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work with multiple clients in different industries
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding and interested in leveraging technology and efficiencies
• Strong team collaboration skills

Our firm understands the need to balance work and family.  That is why we offer employees the ability to work from home whenever possible.  Over the past couple of  years, our clients have become familiar with and acceptable to receiving and submitting documents electronically.  Our office is no longer just bricks and mortar, but virtual.  During our busy season, we do still have clients that prefer to meet in person and may require some days in the office.  But we understand everyone situation is different and will do what we can to make for a satisfying work/life balance.
