We take security of information you provide to us seriously.

In order to minimize the risk of identity theft, we have implemented the follow policies:

Transmittal of Sensitive Information

We will not transmit sensitive information to our clients by any means that will jeopardize its potential dissemination to unauthorized users.  Information transmitted to clients and potential clients will be done through the use of a Secure Portal Login.

Receipt of Sensitive Information

Although we do not have control over information received in our office, we have included a warning and link in all our outgoing transmissions stating the need to use file exchange or other secure means of submitting information to us that contains sensitive information.

Disposal of Sensitive Information

Information received by us containing sensitive information is transmitted and stored in an electronic file cabinet on servers located at Thomson Reuters Data Center.  As a client of ours, we will retain your information in accordance with our retention policy.

Access of Sensitive Information

Tax returns and financial statements prepared by us require that information provided by our clients be made available to employees and others necessary to complete your engagement.  Those individuals having access will be limited to information needed to complete the engagement.  Employees using remote devices such as cell phones, ipads, tablets, and laptops are required to safeguard any information received, transmitted or stored on such devices.  All devices are required to include password protections which will activate within a period of no longer than 2 minutes of inactivity.  Under no circumstances will any devices be left unprotected during a period of employee absence.
